The Catholic Medical Center and Seoul St. Mary's Hospital will unveil innovative prototypes developed by the first commercialization cohort of the Mustard Seed Growth Center, including a device that prevents accidental swallowing of dental materials and a wearable cough-monitoring device.
Ajou University Medical Center will present its latest research-oriented hospital initiatives and achievements in clinical technology commercialization, building on its designation as a government-certified research-driven hospital for a third consecutive term.
In addition to hospitals, local governments and universities will also participate in large-scale joint pavilions to strengthen the broader hospital R&D ecosystem. "We hope this exhibition will demonstrate the latest wearable robotics technologies used in rehabilitation and industrial settings while providing healthcare professionals with a clearer vision of the industry's future direction," an association official said.
As part of KHF 2026, the K-Digital Healthcare Summit will be held on Aug. 20 in Seminar Room 3 at COEX Hall D.
Held annually since 2022, this year's summit will focus on AI-native hospitals and physical AI, examining how artificial intelligence is transforming hospital systems beyond diagnosis.
Speakers will discuss AI-driven strategies for hospital-wide digital transformation spanning clinical workflows, infrastructure, administration, rehabilitation, surgery, and pharmacy automation. The final session will feature Galbot, a Chinese humanoid robotics company that recently attracted 2.5 billion yuan (about 560 billion won) in funding from state-backed funds and major industrial investors. The company is commercializing embodied AI-powered humanoid robots for manufacturing, retail, and healthcare applications.
The summit is designed for hospital professionals, including physicians, nurses, and digital innovation teams, as well as representatives from industry, academia, and government.
