The same technologies could eventually allow humanoid robots to:

Robots aren’t just getting smarter.
They’re learning how to move through the physical world.
And as perception, balance, and real-time control continue to improve, humanoid machines are beginning to move in ways that look increasingly human—and sometimes almost animal-like. Image 14: 🤖Image 15: 🌍

CHINA’S LATEST HUMANOID ROBOTS ARE RUNNING UP WALLS, FLIPPING, AND PERFORMING MARTIAL ARTS. Image 2: 🤖Image 3: 🥋
China’s newest humanoid robots have demonstrated an impressive level of balance, coordination, and dynamic movement, performing short wall runs, wall flips, jumps, and synchronized martial arts routines during a televised demonstration.
Just a few years ago, movements like these were extremely difficult for robots to perform. Of course, the demonstration was carefully choreographed and conducted in a controlled environment. But it still highlights how rapidly humanoid robotics is advancing.
Unlike traditional industrial robots that repeatedly perform predetermined motions, humanoid robots must constantly sense, calculate, and adjust their movements.
They can combine:

Together, these systems allow robots to estimate their body position and make tiny corrections while jumping, landing, climbing, changing direction, and maintaining balance.
And the real significance isn’t the martial-arts performance.
